Every parent hopes for a healthy baby. So it is hard for a family when they have a little one who doesn’t follow the typical path of newborns. At birth they told us that you would probably be in the hospital several weeks because you were so small, you arrived early and you had problems with your air supply. They put you on a special machine that did the work of breathing for you so you could concentrate on keeping warm and growing bigger. You had lots of cords and machines hooked up to you. Yet you were a little fighter. Your persistence kept Mom and Dad hopeful. You were off the breathing machine in 24 hours and home with us in 7 days. What an amazing guy! When we took you home you weighed just over 4 pounds, not much more than a gallon of milk!
